Case Study of Florence KOUAME
Florence is a BME woman who is married, mother of three children, grandmother of three children as well, my DOB is 7 of January 1969, she is from Ivory Coast. Back home she was working as a Secretary in Insurance company, she had a healthy life in Africa, she flew with her husband in 1996 in England.
Florence was. Living as any other African women without knowing that she could be useful to the society. Also, she didn’t know that there was an organisation called Dynamic Support of Greater Manchester who brings women/girls and families from BEM group together to share their experiences, to learn from each another, to get information for difference services available to them and signpost them to the right service.
Florence came across Dynamic Support of Greater Manchester through a friend who was attending sessions within Dynamic.
She has been accessing our support now for three years since 2015
During that time, she has achieved positive thinking in her life, through workshops Health and wellbeing, different training such as food and hygiene course, sewing, Cooking, Event organiser skills, speaking in the public with ease, the list is not exhaustive, this cite few.
As a result, she has become very optimist, empowered to start new activities without any help, for example she gives her views in some meetings organised by Dynamic, she attended in multiple food fair with us, she is promoted as a company Director for the coming Sawa Barbecue for her hard work and commitment. She has a wider circle of friends as Dynamic has helped her to connect with another women organisation, For example South Asian Women Association and many others.
Florence says: “. Dynamic has made me find back my confidence, it has allowed me to gain more knowledge, and learn new skills. With Dynamic I feel good, I found happiness and joy and give me to hope for better life.
Dynamic has a power to change women and girls lives as it changed mine!
