Dynamic Support of Greater Manchester is a community-driven initiative dedicated to uplifting the voices, talents, and well-being of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) women and their families across Greater Manchester. We believe in building bridges of inclusion, resilience, and cultural pride through practical support, creative projects, and community celebration.
Our mission is simple: To reduce isolation, promote well-being, and create real-life opportunities through a vibrant mix of health support, education, cultural engagement, and social enterprise.
We are a women-led, grassroots organisation working with BME families to provide a safe, supportive and culturally sensitive space. Whether it’s through a cooking session, a support circle, a health education workshop, or a market stall — we bring women together to heal, grow, and thrive.
Our approach blends the celebration of African heritage with hands-on programs that equip women with the skills, confidence, and networks they need to overcome hardship and build brighter futures.
One of our proudest initiatives is a community catering business centred around traditional African barbecue cuisine. This program offers more than just delicious food:
By bringing heritage cooking into mainstream spaces, we send a strong message of inclusion and visibility, breaking barriers and building pride.
Many BME women in Greater Manchester face multiple layers of disadvantage: economic hardship, social isolation, cultural invisibility, and mental health challenges. We exist to change that.
Through our work, we offer:
We imagine a Greater Manchester where all women—regardless of background—feel valued, empowered, and included. A place where culture is not just celebrated in safe spaces, but proudly showcased in public. A region where no woman feels invisible, unheard, or alone.
